CatGenie Craziness!

Hi There,

Things are going well except for the crazy bathroom flood we had yesterday. I was working from home and I heard the CatGenie running. The CatGenie is a self cleaning, flushing special litter box. I figured that Munkhtur ran it before he left to work. Around 10am I was asked to come into the office for a meeting. I started getting ready and went to the bathroom and noticed that the floor was really shimmery. The entire bathroom floor was flooded. Looks like Dex or Koob jumped up on the CatGenie and pressed the button to run it while the hose wasn’t hook into the toilet. SO, the poopy/peey water was all over the place and I had to go into work. Quickly, I ran to Sam’s in my robe to borrow her steam cleaner. I was able to suck up the majority of the water and flush it down the toilet. I left towels on the floor for the water that was left and got ready for work and left. When I came home, the entire apartment smelt soooo bad! I then finished cleaning the bathroom with pine sol, Lysol, disinfectant wipes, and my steam mop. I am sore today from the deep cleaning I gave the bathroom yesterday. I had to wash all the rugs and towels I used to clean and that were soaked. On the way back into my apartment from the laundry room, Koob ran out and I was too disgusting to chase him down. 5 minutes later, a knock at the door. Our Sri Lankan neighbors had caught Koob and brought him home. I felt a little embarrassed that I didn’t chase him down. I guess he was out at the dumpster. We have huge rats at our dumpster, which would probably overpower Koob. Gladly all was well. That was my craziness for the week.

I am super excited about my trip!!!!! This Saturday we are going to Michelle’s in Provo because Munkhtur wants to learn how to make Kimchi from Omma. It should be a lot of fun!!! J

Last week Whit and I had fun cooking and baking. We made yummy cupcakes and coconut chicken curry. It was a good time~

I almost got a root canal today, but I cancelled because I don’t think it is necessary and will postpone it till I return from vacation and find a new dentist.

I have a Doctor’s appointment tomorrow~ Hope all goes well.

Yet another post

Last week we went to Some Korean family house and had tons of korean food. I guess it is for the Korean new year. In our neighberhood there is this Mexican store opened called Rancho Market. They had like 4lb of orange for $1.00 Not bad. We booked our tickets to Thailand for pretty good price. Also booked our hotel rooms for decent price. I have been practicing some MK with my neighbor.

Lunar New Year

Hello Hello,
The past week has been good. Some highlights include going out to Asia Pho with Michelle and Wei. Then we went to Gourmandise and got Whit a bday cake. The weather was nasty with tons of snow as we drove out to Whit’s place. We surprised her and had a great time. We all play with Jackson and it got wild and hilarious. Rylee wasn’t feeling too great :(. It was a lot of fun though. On Sunday, we went to Tehsook’s lunar new year party. It was a great time. Great food, good friends, and a new year. After the party, we went to Michelle’s for a while and hung out. It was good.

Things at work have been going well; however, I have had terrible cramps lately. Luckily, my wonderful husband bought me a cake and goodies to make me feel better! Hehe

Mom and dad have been planning with us for our trip to the Philippines. We are getting really excited! It will be a blast! Can’t wait!

Road to 200

Road to 200lb is probably not like Robert Frost's road less traveled. Many people may have traveled this road. I have chosen that road to 200. I am so far on 183lb. I only weighed 115lbs in 2001 before my mission. I think when i came from my mission 2003 i weighed about 155lbs. 40lb gain in about 2 year period. In Hawaii my weight changed from 155 to 165lb. In salt lake when i was single 165 to 175lb. My weight stayed around 175 for about 2 - 3 years. Finally i decided to take road 200 and now I am 183lbs. I need 17 more lbs to be on road 200lb. I am calculating maybe 2 more years to reach that goal. I am focusing on adding muscle weight not fat. If I had the resources I have now when i was young I would have been 200lb easy when i am 19. Of course at 200lb weight I am expecting better bench press results. Currently I am doing 275lb 5 rep, 225 10 rep.
    I also am planning on doing my own cooking YouTube show thing.  I never thought what I thought was necessity can turn into a skill. Apparently some people do not know how to make dough and noodles, something I learnt at age 10. I already made how to make plov Uzbek food video, need to be compiled and put it on YouTube.

Steamed

Greetings All,
Well, nothing too exciting this past week although we went overboard with steaming dumplings. We had our Sri Lankan neighbors over to make dumplings and we made so much and have the oven temperature so high that all the water evaporated and burnt a hole in our steamer. It was aluminum and smelled really bad. We ended up spending part of our MLK vacation day at Ocean Mart, a Asian market, looking for a new steamer. This time we got one that is made of stainless steel and looks better than the last. I am happy about the new steamer.

Life has been the usually otherwise: work, studying for certifications, gym, and getting excited for our Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia vacation.  Munkhtur is studying for his Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and I have been studying for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Keeps us busy.

The doodles are well. I think Dex has a fatty tumor on his back… Not sure, but he seems fine otherwise. Koob is as skinny as ever.

Well, this week is Whitney’s Bday so Whit, Michelle, and I are planning to get together on Saturday and celebrate. Should be fun.

Here comes 2012: The Mayan calendar end and new beginning

Happy New Year!!! We had a wonderful year in 2011 in Murray. I got new position at work, still working on the work title something with IT. Ashley got her MBA from WGU within only one year. I still have 2 more semesters left after my current one. Our boys have gotten big. We had wonderful summer trip to Mongolia and Korea. This upcoming new year we will visit our parents in the Philippines. Since we are making it all the way down there in southeast Asia for the first time, we decided to go visit Thailand and Angkor wat of kingdom of Cambodia. This will be our highlights next year.

This year we got around to making Christmas cards. See them below. :)

We had to photoshop the cats in because they weren't very cooperative as you can imagine.

We had a good Christmas and spent New Years downtown watching fireworks with friends.
